Bollywood News. One of Bollywood's most iconic and historical films, 'Mughal-e-Azam' changed the course of Indian cinema 65 years ago. After its release, the film became a milestone in the film industry, which is remembered even today. Directed by K Asif, the film featured legendary stars like Dilip Kumar, Madhubala and Prithviraj Kapoor, whose performances made the film immortal. When 'Mughal-e-Azam' was released 65 years ago, it became not just a film but an event. People used to wait for hours, even days, to buy tickets for the film. Raza Murad, who is the son of Ali Murad, father of one of the lead actors of this film, shared some special memories related to this film. Raza told that when the film was released, people used to queue up two days in advance to buy tickets and this queue used to extend up to 5 kilometers.

Queue for two days

Raza Murad told that people used to queue up from Saturday itself for advance booking on Monday. I used to see all this myself, people used to sleep on the streets and their family members used to bring them food. Raza also said that he too used to wait for the tickets of Monday's show at that time. Starting from Bombay Central, this queue used to go till Mahalaxmi, which was a very surprising thing for that time.

There should not be a remake of 'Mughal-e-Azam'

Raza Murad continued his talk about this film and said that such films should never be remade. He said that whoever tries to remake this film will fail miserably. 'Mughal-e-Azam' was the most lavish film of India at that time and it was during its shooting that the relationship between Dilip Kumar and Madhubala ended.
